Dark Side of the Ring's Terry Gordy: Final Flight of the Firebird

 

This was a photo from Gordy's most famous match during his short stint in Extreme Championship Wrestling, the proclaimed 'Battle of the Bam Bam's' between Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy and Bam Bam Bigelow. Any true ECW fan will recall Joey Styles plugging this match every single week for ECW's Extreme Warfare, Volume II tape they used to sell back in the day. 

Tonight on Dark Side of the Ring's next episode will focus on the life and death of wrestling legend Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy who was a member of the legendary Fabulous Freebirds back in the day.

Gordy had a severe drug overdose not too many years before his passing that caused him to not be the same man he once was with people calling him a "shell of his former self" after the overdose that caused severe brain damage to him. 

The episode is called "Terry Gordy: Final Flight of the Freebird" and it airs TONIGHT exclusively on VICE TV at 10 PM EST!

This is the third episode in the fifth season of the highly successful series by VICE TV. An upcoming episode will focus on fellow ECW Original The Sandman, as well. No word on what day the Sandman episode will be airing yet though  Stay tuned as we will keep fans updated!
