Tommy Dreamer, who is 52 years old, is still competing semi-regularly. He has remained a major presence backstage at Impact Wrestling over the last ten years. |
At Impact Wrestling's Rebellion 2023 pay-per-view event, former ECW star Tommy Dreamer led his team to a victory over Bully Ray's (formerly Buh Buh Ray Dudley) team in a Hardcore War.
Dreamer's team consisted of himself, Frankie Kazarian, Yuya Uemura, Killed Kelly and Bhipinder Gujjar. His team defeated Bully Ray's team consisting of himself, Kenny King, Masha Slamovich, Moose and Brian Myers (formerly known as Curt Hawkins in WWE).
The finish saw Bully Day attempt to climb a ladder, and ask the referees to hold it for him, but they refused and instead attacked him. Dreamer hit a DDT and then got the referees to hold the ladder for him, allowing him time to jump off the ladder with a big splash, crashing through Bully Ray and a table in the process.
The bout started out with Moose and Kazarian. The order of entrances was Myers, Gujjar, King, Kelly, Masha, Uemura, Bully and finally Dreamer last.
Earlier in the evening, Dreamer revealed that his mother had a stroke on the day she was scheduled to come home from the hospital and that she was unresponsive. Dreamer said after the match he would be taking some time away.
You can order a PPV replay of the event through FITE.tv (https://www.fite.tv/watch/impact-rebellion-2023/2pcl7/)
We send our prayers out to Dreamer and his mother during this scary time for the Dreamer family.
