In 2002 a promotion called Major League Wrestling was formed and the original MLW felt much like ECW in its presentation and it defiantly helped matters to have Joey Styles as the commentator! MLW would close down for several years before they made their return in the 2010's and now they are one of the top independent wrestling organizations in the United States. One of their early feuds was with CM Punk and Raven, doing the whole straight edge vs. drug addict gimmick. It was a sight to see and Punk still credits Raven for so much he learned in the business on how to get over to the fans and how to use psychology in your matches. Raven was a master at that.
