Wrestler birthday(s): Al Snow turns 60 years old today. Following his runs in ECW and the WWF, Al Snow moved to a more behind the scenes job within the industry, working behind the scenes as an agent and producer for WWE, TNA Wrestling (later Impact Wrestling) and most recently Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he ended up purchasing the promotion from longtime owner Danny Davis a couple years ago and made some major improvements for the company in terms of production and it's reach globally.
Wrestler death(s): John Kronus passed away on this day in 2007 from heart failure. Kronus is best known for his ECW World Tag Team Championship winning team with Perry Saturn known as The Eliminators in ECW who he won the titles 3 times with. He also held the Tag Team Titles one other time with New Jack as The Gangstanators. Following his time in ECW, he would appear in the ECW-ripoff promotion XPW for a bit before retiring in 2002. He came out of retirement in 2005, making one appearance at the ECW reunion show Hardcore Homecoming, teaming with New Jack to face Ian and Axl Rotten the same weekend as the first ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view in June 2005. He passed away in his sleep, aged 38 years old. According to an autopsy performed after his death, his death was subsequently attributed to heart failure resulting from an enlarged heart. He was survived by his nine-year old son, Gage. His family stated that Kronus had a history of heart problems and that he knew he could die at any time. Former tag team partner New Jack was the only ECW alumnus to attend his funeral reportedly.
