As we've noted in the past, Rob Van Dam has been appearing in All Elite Wrestling as of late and he's been teaming up with former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Taz's soon HOOK. RVD's return to AEW back on October 25th, 2023 sent shockwaves through the wrestling community and he's been making pretty big waves since his AEW debut back on AEW Dynamite's 200th episode back in August 2023.
Rob Van Dam opened up about the journey to AEW during a recent episode of his "1 of a Kind" podcast, shedding light on his current feelings about AEW and hinting at exciting future prospects, including teaming up with the enigmatic FTW Champion HOOK.
In his own words, RVD couldn't help but express his enthusiasm:
“Of course, of course. Everyone is super cool there. Now that I’ve got a little bit of a situation as far as teaming up with HOOK, I feel there is more reason than ever to have me there. I feel good about that as opposed to, I don’t expect to ever hear from them again.”The prospect of RVD and HOOK teaming up has fans buzzing with anticipating and excitement and they've apparently came up with a catchy new tag team name, "Smoke & Choke". While RVD liked the name and saw it circulating on social media, he couldn't pinpoint the mastermind behind the suggestion.
So ECW fans, stay tuned for what promises to be a fun little run in Rob Van Dam's journey now that he arrived in All Elite Wrestling, as he continues to captivate the audience with his unparalleled charisma and in-ring prowess.
