Jerry Lynn, pictured after winning his only ECW World Heavyweight Championship, after defeating Justin Credible at ECW Anarchy Rulz 2000 on October 1st, 2000 in front of his home town crowd in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He would hold the title for 34 days before dropping the belt to Steve Corino at ECW's next pay-per-view event, ECW November to Remember 2000, on November 5th, 2000. 



Wrestler debut(s) on this day in history: Jerry Lynn made his professional wrestling debut on this day in 1988. Lynn would go on to be a former ECW World Heavyweight Champion, having won the title once in 2000. Lynn retired from the ring several years back and now works for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a producer/coach/mentor to young talents.
