Chris Jericho Thanks Fans Following His FTW Championship Win At AEW Dynasty

As we reported on Sunday evening, ECW alumnus Chris Jericho won the FTW Championship from Taz's soon HOOK at All Elite Wrestling's Dynasty 2024 pay-per-view event this past Sunday night. However, Jericho received a mostly negative reaction from the St. Louis crowd who chanted such things as "Please retire" and "Go home, Jericho!".

But, Jericho appears to be unbothered by the fans reaction to him, posting the following on his Instagram account following the huge PPV event:

Thanks to all of you who believed in me and cheered me on tonight in #StLouis and at home, as I WON the #FTWTitle from @730hook at #AEWDynasty tonight! Your love and encouragement took me to new heights and helped me to beat #Hook, who was at his best tonight!! #TheLearningTree promises to give Hook and all of the @aew talent who are in the #JerichoVortex only the best lessons…both in the ring and in life. See you on #AEWDynamite this Wednesday…new champ is out!

For fans unaware of what is going on with this, fans are beginning to turn on Jericho due to the fact he has put himself at the forefront of AEW since 2019 and rarely has taken any time off, in the process overexposing himself to the AEW faithful and appearing on 99.9% of every AEW Dynamite episode that has taken place in its over 200 episode run.

Fans are also questioning his booking in recent years, which fans have referred to as the "Jericho vortex" due to the fact that he seems to attach himself to whoever is the "hot" star at the moment and fans have accused him of killing the momentum of several talents in the past, despite him proclaiming that "every person (he) has worked with has came out of the other end in a better position" than they were prior to them feuding.

Jericho took the title off of HOOK and rumors have circulated recently that Taz's son may be WWE bound when his contract comes up (which has been rumored to be coming up in the very near future). Reports have suggested that Taz wants his son to give WWE a shot and HOOK apparently is also interested in having a run in the #1 professional wrestling organization in the United States. The title change could be setting him up for his departure from AEW to pursue a career in WWE perhaps. (That is NOT even close to being official, I am just reminding fans that a week or two ago there were reports of HOOK/WWE and now the title change happens).
